General information

This privacy policy is based on the statutory provisions of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which became fully effective on May 25, 2018. The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Where personal data (e.g., surname, first name, telephone number, address or email addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. Please note that, despite all measures we have taken, data transmission over the internet (e.g., communication by email) may have security vulnerabilities; therefore, complete protection of data against access by third parties cannot be guaranteed in all cases.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Setting a cookie is a way of temporarily storing data and serves to make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. The cookies we use most frequently are so-called “session cookies”, which have a limited lifespan. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise you as a visitor on your next visit and thus provide you with a better visitor experience. You can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies. You can also allow cookies only in specific individual cases or exclude them altogether. You can also set cookies to be deleted automatically when the browser window is closed. If you disable cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Server log files
The hosting provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. This includes in particular: browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request. This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to review this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use. This data collection primarily serves to evaluate and prevent attempted attacks on the website. Hosting providers are also legally obliged in certain situations to be able to provide information about where access originated in order to counter criminal activities.

SSL encryption

To protect the transmission of confidential data via our forms and for security reasons, we use SSL encryption technology. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address line “https://” and the lock symbol displayed in the browser. Data encrypted via SSL cannot be read by third parties during transmission.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on users’ computers and enable an analysis of their use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about users’ use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will shorten users’ IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. IP anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate users’ use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting their browser software settings; however, this website points out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Users can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the website (including their IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. Third-party providers, including Google, place ads on websites on the internet. Third-party providers, including Google, use stored cookies to place ads based on a user’s previous visits to this website. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other Google data. You may object to the collection and storage of data at any time with effect for the future. You can disable Google’s use of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings. Further information on Google’s use of data for advertising purposes, settings and objection options can be found on Google’s websites: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners (“How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps”), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (“Advertising technologies”), http://www.google.de/settings/ads (“Manage information Google uses to show you ads”) and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences (“Choose which ads Google shows you”). As an alternative to the browser add-on, or within browsers on mobile devices, please install the Ghostery app. By using this website, you consent to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purpose described above.

Google Maps

We integrate the map service “Google Maps” provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This integration results in data being exchanged in the background for tracking purposes. If you do not wish to disclose any data about yourself, please log out of your Google account or use a plugin such as Ghostery to block the data exchange. You can find Google’s privacy policy here.

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the consistent display of fonts. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to Google’s servers. This enables Google to know that our website was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used. Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Integration of third-party services and content
It may happen that this online offering includes third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) are able to perceive users’ IP addresses. Without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the respective user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We endeavour to use only content whose respective providers use the IP address solely to deliver the content. However, we have no influence if third-party providers store the IP address, for example for statistical purposes. Where we are aware of this, we inform users accordingly. If you do not wish to disclose any data about yourself, please log out of your Google account or use a plugin such as Ghostery to block the data exchange. You can find Google’s privacy policy here.

Right of access, restriction and deletion

You have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, in particular its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to rectification, restriction or deletion of this data.

Objection to unsolicited emails

The use of contact data published as part of the legal notice obligation for the purpose of sending advertising and informational materials not expressly requested is hereby objected to. In the event that unsolicited advertising information is sent, for example via spam emails or post, the operators of this site expressly reserve the right to take legal action.
